We have many techniques and training aids to assist in learning and improving marksmanship from beginner level through advanced.
For example, we connect a Bluetooth device to your shotgun, just like you would any other firearm attachment. Each shot is scored depending on how much you moved away from your target during the trigger pull. This device couples with an app that will develop very finite trigger control by giving you real time feedback and an image showing how you moved the gun prior to, during, and after the trigger break.
Details: Our training improves your accuracy, consistency, and performance by tracking shotgun movement, and group data from multiple shots and sessions, and identifying patterns and anomalies in your technique.
The device is valuable to all sporting shooters, with a focused emphasis on skeet and trap competition shooters. As shown in the photo below, we mount a device (rubber lined so as to not scratch the barrel) on the barrel of any shotgun, or with a rail or adapter, and connect electronically to an app on our phone or tablet. Data is streamed and collected real-time from the smart sensor, and analyzed and visualized by the shotgun app. The app consists of three main components: individual shot analysis, historical progress, and score keeping.
The shot analysis screens focus on three dimensions: individual shot trace, group shot analysis, and shot scoring.
The individual shot trace shows the path and velocity of the gun during the shot. Warning markers will appear along the trace and velocity charts where pushing, jerking, flinching, and other issues are identified.
The shot group analysis overlays all shots from a session together, to help identify patterns and consistency issues. The shot scoring captures hit and miss performance to help correlate with issues identified, as misses are highlighted in the aggregate view.
As each shot is taken, hits and misses can be recorded. This data is then displayed for overall shooting performance, highlighted in the aggregate trace comparisons, and grouped together for station statistics. The app saves all your session and shot history for review, comparison, and tracking progress over time. The software provides you with suggestions that will improve your shooting mechanics.
A highly sophisticated sensor attaches to the barrel of your shotgun, rubber lined to not scratch the barrel, as shown above. The reports below are some of the reports available of your shooting with this device.
Some sample analysis reports:
Track the movement of your shotgun’s barrel during the trigger pull. Shots are grouped according to movement pattern similarity.
The shot group analysis overlays all shots from a session together, to help identify patterns and consistency issues.
There are many options for marksmanship training, and these options also blend in well with tactical shotgun shooting and personal protection classes. We can tailor a program to fit your needs. If you need marksmanship training contact me and I will come up with a plan custom made for you !
